SHAREWEAR is the collaborative output of interactive fashion designer Di Mainstone and the team at V2_, Institute for the Unstable Media. Here are all of the individuals involved in the creative process at the Lab, although many more people donated their time and creativity for which we are extremely grateful. Trained in fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art, London, Di Mainstone creates interactive couture garments that playfully explore human behaviour. Di has collaborated with a broad range of artistic researchers and her interactive couture has been exhibited internationally. She also guest lectures with ITP students at NYU, Design students at Parsons and textile futures students at Central Saint Martins College of Art. www.dimainstone.com
Stock is a hardware and software engineer at V2_. He is interested in music, by composing, doing sound engineer and palying in obscure bands. He has worked with Chico McMurtrie (Amorphic Robot Works), Barry Schwarz, Bastiaan Maris & Geo Homsy, among many others.
Simon de Bakker working as a software engineer at the V2_lab is exploring the fields of embedded technologies and smart textiles. He holds a BSc in Interaction Design and an MA in Interactive Multi-Media at the School for the Arts Utrecht. www.josos.org
Michel van Dartel is project manager and assistant curator at V2_, where he is involved in a variety of artistic Research and Development (aRt&D) projects and in organising public events on aRt&D and electronic art. Michel�s other interests are in Psychology and Artificial Intelligence, in which he holds an MSc and PhD respectively, and in music, in which he is active as a member of The Rose Frustrates and as a DJ.
Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner is a conceptual artist, writer, and musician working in London, whose works traverses the experimental terrain between sound, space, image and form. Since 1991 he has been intensely active in sonic art, producing concerts, installations and recordings, the albums Mass Observation (1994), Delivery (1997), and The Garden is Full of Metal (1998) hailed by critics as innovative and inspirational works of contemporary electronic music.
Piem Wirtz is projectmanager at V2_. She holds an Msc in Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology. Besides working at V2_, she is freelance product designer with an emphasis on designing for children and physical education. Piems other interests are in fashion, modern dance and improvisation. She is participating as a dancer at Dattah.
Rui has a degree in Computer Science and is currently studying for his Master of Fine Arts. Besides being a programmer at V2_, he is involved in open culture by initiating open festivals like unDEAF and by giving regular presentations.
Jan Misker was appointed project manager at V2_ in 2006. He is responsible for managing projects that have a strong technological and/or scientific aspect, for example involving wearable technology or augmented reality. Jan holds an MSc in Cognitive Science and Engineering and is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science (Man Machine Interaction) at Delft University of Technology.
Richard Bierhuizen 23-12-1970. Former Mononom DJ , Industrial Funk, played / captain DJ in Dogtroep's "Laad Los" currently working at V2 production and sound.
